Chief Steward BRANCH 41 UNION MEETINGS ARE ON THE SECOND TUESDAY OF EACH MONTH. IF EVER THERE SHOULD BE A CHANGE IN DATE IT WILL BE POSTED AND ANNOUNCED BY THE SHOP STEWARD AT YOUR STATION.THERE ARE ONLY 10 MEETINGS* FOR THE ENTIRE YEAR. JUST 10. DO YOU BOWL EVERY WEEK? * NO MEETINGS DURING JULY AND AUGUST
Remember to fill out a 3971 at least a week in advance and request Blood Leave. Donating blood is a community service that is encouraged by the U.S. Postal Service. That is why you may receive Administrative Leave for donating blood. Request enough time for traveling and donating blood. It takes about a half hour to donate blood but there are other factors to consider as well. How long it takes you to get from the time clock to your car. How long it takes to drive to the Union Hall. How long it takes to find a parking spot. How long it takes to get to the Union Hall from the parking spot you found. Try to estimate all of this as fair as possible and then request the total time you will need to donate blood. {Remember time to get home doesn't count.} If your request is denied , then notify your Shop Steward. Or call Branch 41. Also to get a rough idea of how long it takes to get to the Union Hall from where you start ...Click here for Google Maps and click on Get Directions
